Why Do We Exist?
Changemaker Edu exists to empower local communities to disrupt the traditional education system. We provide the tools, systems, and partnerships needed to launch and operate affiliate microschools successfully.
Our support extends to changemaker educators, parents, caregivers, and community members who lead this transformation by creating extraordinary microschools worldwide.
What sets us apart is our unique Mind, Body, Soul (MBS) social-emotional learning program, offered to all students and adults, fostering change from the inside out.

About the Founder
David's Journey in Education
With 25+ years in education reform, David’s mission is to elevate human consciousness and help others become their best selves. He’s achieved this by creating transformative human development programs for both children and adults.
Changemaker Education is the culmination of his experience launching award-winning unconventional schools (charter, micro, private), serving as a teacher, school principal, charter network executive, and drawing on his expertise in leadership development, life coaching, and mindset teaching.
David’s personal journey of inner peace and healing from childhood trauma inspired the creation of the Mind, Body, Soul (MBS) program—now a core focus of Changemaker Education.
He is passionate about the power of communities and individual empowerment, and Changemaker Education exists to help people like you live your dream of starting a Changemaker affiliate microschool.
David holds a BA in History from UC Berkeley and an MA in Education from Stanford University. He resides in Sacramento with his wife and children.
